Researchers have discovered links between periodontal disease and other health conditions such as heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and respiratory illnesses. Gum disease may also cause low birth weight babies, putting your child’s health at risk.
Blood is a sign of trouble when it comes to your gums. If you find that your gums bleed when you brush or floss, it is time for a periodontal exam with Dr. Molero or Dr. Soto so we can help you get back on track. Though periodontal disease has many levels of severity, the early symptoms include:
SYMPTOMS OF GUM DISEASE

Bleeding when you brush or floss

-
Bad breath

In its early stages, we can often reverse periodontal disease with proper treatment. In its later stages, we can control the infection with proper care and keep you on an effective schedule to help you stay healthy.

ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT
In the case of periodontal pocketing, we may place a localized antibiotic to assist with healing.
PERIODONTAL SURGERY
Removing diseased tissue can help your gums heal. We have an on-site periodontist who is both skilled and extremely gentle at eliminating serious gum infections.
